Entry # 2 – With MaiTam Program at the Easter Vigil Service

I went to the MaiTam shelter with a friend to join the MaiTam children celebrating the Easter Vigil Mass. The service was outside. It was raining hard when we got there, but miraculously stopped not shortly after. Seeing the children happily in their new outfits was a joy. It felt almost like Tết (New Year). The children seemed to enjoy it as well. Yes, it was something out-of-ordinary for them…. sharing the light of the Easter Candles, getting the intentions from visitors, delicious food afterward…

Hope the light of sharing the Easter Candle…. the joy and happiness they receive each day from the care givers will continue to sink deeply in them… as they tenderly cherish them each day for the rest of the journey.
